Junior Athletes Set For Pan Am Camps
Top Bermudian junior athletes and their coaches are heading to the ASU 2025 Training Camps – a high-performance environment designed to sharpen skills, strengthen focus, and prepare for the demands of top-level competition.
Organised by Panam Sports, the camps will also give athletes the opportunity to acclimate to Asunción, Paraguay – the host city of the Junior Pan American Games, taking place from August 9 to 23.
Bermuda will be well represented across three disciplines: Athletics Camp [July 13-18]: Lashee Jones, Amara Samuels, Jaeda Grant, Tatiana Sousa, Norre Robinson, Zydon Lightbourne-Furbert, Miles Outerbridge, and Surii Russell will attend, accompanied by coaches Syriah Lottimore and Albert Donawa.
Archery Camp [August 2-6]: Jaydon Roberts and Robin Selley will train under the guidance of coach Ross Roberts.
Swimming Camp [July 7–12] Katherine Wheddon will be joined by coach Ashley Yearwood.
In a statement posted on social media, the Bermuda Olympic Association highlighted the significance of the camps: “From swimming to athletics to archery, these camps are about more than participation.
“They’re about development, discipline, and long-term growth.
“Through expert coaching, international collaboration, and exposure to elite training methods, Bermuda’s next generation is laying the foundation for future success on the regional and global stage. Please join us in congratulating the athletes and coaches attending.”
