Rick Wright’s Greenville Draw With Naples
Rick Wright’s Greenville Triumph drew 1-1 at home to FC Naples in the USL League One yesterday [June 7].
Wright, the Greenville head coach, told the club’s website: “I thought the first 10-15 minutes of the match were a bit rough after the long delay, but we weathered the storm.
“After that, I thought took it to him and were able to get behind their defence.
“It was a great effort from the guys – we just need to put the ball in the back of the net. But we keep improving and we’ll try to carry this momentum to Omaha.”
A former Saltus Grammar School student, Wright made appearances for the Bermuda and United States national teams.
He was appointed head coach of Greenville at the start of last season, having served as assistant coach for several years.
Greenville are at home to Chattanooga Red Wolves on June 21.
