Tennis: Deloitte Open Tournament Continues
The Deloitte Open Tennis Tournament continues at the Pomander Gate Tennis Club, featuring matches across multiple divisions.
In the men’s doubles 45 & over category, Earl and Erwin Leader advanced to the final by defeating Frank Fischer and Chris Grasso 6-3, 6-4 in their semifinal match.
Michael Toyer, the number one seed in the men’s singles – 45 & over division, secured a spot in the semifinals after his opponent, Wilfred Gonsalves, retired from their quarterfinal match. Toyer was leading 6-0, 3-0 at the time of the withdrawal.
In the men’s A singles, Gavin Manders won his semifinal against Zachary James Mcguire in three sets, 6-1, 4-6, 10-8.
Chase Mccrimmon advanced in the men’s A singles consolation quarterfinals, defeating Uzair Naeem 6-4, 5-7, 11-9.
