Freisenbruch Launch BerMedica Insurance
Freisenbruch Insurance Services Ltd. announced the official launch of BerMedica, a “purpose-built medical malpractice insurance product specifically developed for healthcare professionals practicing in Bermuda.”
A spokesperson said, “BerMedica has been in development for over a year, following a request from the Bermuda Hospitals Board to explore a more affordable and tailored option for practitioners. It also responds to a well-recognised need for greater clarity, consistency, and support in Medical Malpractice coverage, particularly for those delivering essential, emergency, and life-preserving care. BerMedica offers clearly defined, contract-based protection that reflects the unique challenges faced by medical professionals in Bermuda.

“The product was officially unveiled at a well-attended launch event on July 24, 2025, at the Royal Bermuda Yacht Club, where healthcare leaders, stakeholders, and members of the medical community gathered to learn more about the policy, its scope, and the vision behind its creation.”
