Isis Tucker Joins BCB As Summer Intern
Isis Tucker has joined the Bermuda Cricket Board [BCB] as a summer Digital Media Intern.
Ms. Tucker said, “Over the past month, I’ve had the incredible opportunity to work with the Bermuda Cricket Board as a Digital Media Intern. From June 30th to July 25th, I created promotional video content covering cricket matches, youth cricket camps, and interviews with coaches and players.
“As part of my role, I captured and edited footage for the Bermuda Cricket Board’s Instagram page, with additional content in progress for their website.
“This hands-on experience has helped me develop valuable technical and creative skills, from learning how to shoot compelling footage to editing and producing videos that connect with an audience.
“Thanks to the guidance and support from Mr. Blankendal and Ms. Robinson, I have not only developed my media skills, but also gained more confidence behind the camera. Before this opportunity, I had never created sports or interview-style videos. Now, I feel much more comfortable capturing the footage I need and bringing a story together through editing.
“I’m currently 16 years old and entering my final year at Saltus Grammar School. After graduation, I plan to pursue Business and Film & Media studies in Canada or the U.S. I’m passionate about the power of the media to tell stories, build communities, and amplify voices. This experience has been an exciting step in that journey.
“This opportunity with the Bermuda Cricket Board has given me a deeper appreciation for the work that goes into sports media and content creation, and I’m incredibly grateful for the chance to be part of it.”
