Candace Furbert Appearing In Hercules
Bermudian actress Candace Furbert is starring in musical Hercules at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane in London’s West End.
The premier of Hercules, which is based on Disney’s 1997 animated classic, was held in June 20.
It features music by Alan Menken [Beauty and the Beast], lyrics by David Zippel [Mulan], and a new book by Robert Horn [Shucked] and Kwame Kwei-Armah [The Visitor].
Numbers in the show include “Go the Distance”, “Zero to Hero” and “I Won’t Say [I’m In Love]”.
Ms Furbert wrote on social media: “Thalia reporting for divine comedic duty.
“After five years away, I’m back – on stage, in gold, and with giggles. Let’s show them how a Muse makes magic.”
The production is directed and choreographed by Casey Nicholaw [Disney’s Aladdin], with Tanisha Scott as co-choreographer.
