Man Arrested After Alleged Firearm Threat
A 23-year-old man was arrested after allegedly brandishing a firearm during a dispute at Spanish Point Park.
A police spokesperson said, “Shortly after 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 6, 2025, police received a report that a male had brandished a firearm during a dispute with a female, in the area of Spanish Point Park, Pembroke.
“Officers were immediately dispatched.
“Upon arrival, they were informed the suspect had left the location on a motorcycle, in the company of another male.
“A description was provided and a search for the suspect was immediately initiated.
“He was subsequently located on Court Street, Pembroke.
“The 23-year-old male attempted to flee, but was apprehended following a short foot chase.
“He was subsequently arrested and taken into custody.
“No firearm was recovered.
“An investigation into this incident is now underway and anyone with information is asked to call the main police number 295-0011.”
