Lance Tucker Art Show At City Hall
Mixed-media artist Lance Tucker will unveil his latest body of work in a solo exhibition titled Capture In Vision, set to open on August 29 at City Hall in Hamilton.
The show, held on the second floor at the Bermuda Society of the Arts at City Hall, will run from 5pm to 7pm, and will feature 14 original pieces – each crafted using a distinctive blend of sand, paint, and other tactile materials.
Among the works on display is a striking interpretation of Jobson’s Cove Beach and a Bermuda Longtail.
This marks Tucker’s third exhibition at City Hall. His previous show, DNA Discovery, was held in 2023.
“I wanted this exhibition to reflect the things I find beautiful – nature, birds, women,” Tucker told Bernews.
“But at the same time, it’s not just about the imagery – it’s about the textures I use to bring those visions to life.”
He added: “Capture In Vision is about patience – about taking the time to truly see and capture beauty in all its forms.
“I started working on these pieces last December and only just finished the final one yesterday!
“I knew I had a deadline but didn’t rush anything – it was more of a relaxed feel for me.
“I wanted to be comfortable about what I show. I’m enjoying my art more than ever.”
