Dive Into Stingrays At Kids Hour This Saturday
BUEI invites families to join this Saturday [August 16], for a fun and educational Kids Hour exploring the fascinating world of stingrays through films, stories, and hands-on activities.
A spokesperson said, “Join BUEI this Saturday, August 16th, at 11am or 2pm as we splash into the special world of stingrays as the focus for this month’s Kids Hour Saturday. The event is recommended for toddlers to teens and all who are curious about life below water.
“Stingrays are graceful and sea creatures and this week’s Kids Hour will take us on a fun and interactive journey through the lives of stingrays. Each session begins with an engaging short film, followed by an interactive book reading and hands-on activities that will spark curiosity and creativity in everyone. Free admission to the Ocean Discovery Centre is included for you to explore and play our monthly I-Spy game where you can win a prize if you find all the hidden stingray stickers.
“This month’s film is “Stingray City”. Join Jonathan Bird and world-renowned marine artist Dr. Guy Harvey as they visit the famous Stingray City in Grand Cayman. Discover how stingrays interact with tourists and learn about Dr. Harvey’s research on these captivating creatures.
“Let’s Talk About Stingrays” by Kenzy Ruth is the featured book for Kids Hour. Seama the Stingray busts myths and shares fun facts about stingrays in this engaging and educational story. It’s the perfect introduction to learn about these misunderstood marine animals.
