Nonprofit Alliance Board Recruitment Initiative
The Nonprofit Alliance of Bermuda announced the 2025 launch of its Board of Directors Recruitment Initiative, designed to “connect skilled individuals with meaningful opportunities to serve on nonprofit boards across the island.”
A spokesperson said, “Nonprofits in Bermuda play an essential role in addressing pressing social and economic challenges, strengthening community well-being, and ensuring critical services reach those who need them most. Yet, many nonprofits face difficulties recruiting board members with the diverse skills and perspectives needed for effective governance.
“This initiative bridges that gap by recruiting talented community members to serve on nonprofit boards that can benefit from their expertise.”
“Nonprofit boards are the backbone of strong organisations. They shape strategy and direction, ensure accountability, and safeguard sustainability,” said Nicola Paugh, Executive Director of the Nonprofit Alliance of Bermuda. “Through this initiative, we are inviting Bermuda’s professionals and community members to lend their skills, experience, and leadership to causes that matter.”

“3. Explore Opportunities – Receive a list of current board vacancies in Bermuda’s nonprofit sector.

“After registering, you’ll receive a code to sign up for the free virtual training in November. A list of board openings will also be shared to help you match your skills with organisations in need.”
