“The incident occurred earlier this year, as the Works and Engineering Highways Crew carried out planned roadworks. A senior was on her way to visit a private residence in the area when the crew informed her that vehicle access to the driveway was temporarily restricted. The team had just laid hot tarmac, and she was asked to park nearby and walk the short distance to her destination.

“When Mr. Darrell noticed she was without proper footwear, he sought the senior’s consent and permission and offered to carry her over the freshly rolled tarmac, safely delivering her to her destination.

“The senior was so moved by his kindness that on August 17, 2025, she shared the story in a heartfelt social media post, publicly commending Mr. Darrell’s remarkable compassion and respect for elders.”

So doing one good and honourable thing merits an award for excellence.

I will now go and help a senior across the road and await my award.

Joe that statement from you right there is exactly why OBA/UBPeers like you struggle to find someone like Mr. Darrell to vote for your party.

Fingers crossed the new leader Robert King can work some magic and get your party’s attitude back on people-friendly mode!

        “OBA/UBPeers like you”

I have said many times that I have never been a member of any political party. But do not let the truth get in the way of your make-believe

        • White Wash says:

So you’re telling everyone that you don’t vote for the oba because it’s a worthless party and why vote for them. Everyone knows that which is the reason they have a another leader.

“So you’re telling everyone that you don’t vote for the oba”

No, I am saying that I have never been a member of any political party.

Is your problem with the English language or the truth?

      • Toodle-oo says:

So you decide to twist it into a political thing … lol

      • JAWS says:

Youth, this group fails to recognize their mistakes. They are self-critical and subsequently place the blame on us. They will be undergoing another leadership change in 2 years or they might change the name again. The OBA’s situation is comparable to that of passengers aboard the Titanic.

        • Toodle-oo says:

On the contrary , Bermuda’s situation is comparable to that of the Titanic .
