Kai Sampson Joins Spanish Side Málaga
Promising Bermudian footballer Kai Sampson has signed for Spanish club Málaga after impressing at a showcase event.
Sampson, 19, will continue his development at the second-tier side’s academy.
The midfielder has already gained international experience representing the Steven Gerrard Academy at the Mediterranean International Cup this year.
Spanish Soccer Trials posted the images below on Facebook, stating: “Spanish Soccer Trials is proud to announce that talented Bermudian midfielder Kai Sampson has signed with Fundación Deportiva Málaga CF for the 2025/26 season.
“Following an impressive display at our 2025 Summer Showcase event the 19-year-old was scouted by one of our guest coaches Sergio Matez who extended the opportunity to Kai to travel to Spain and sign with the club. Kai has now joined up with his teammates here on the south coast of Spain and is awaiting international clearance before making his competitive debut for the club in the coming weeks.
