SBRC White Hill Field Cleanup On Sept 27 & 28
The Somerset Bridge Recreation Club [SBRC] is inviting the community to take part in a White Hill Field Cleanup on Saturday [Sept 27] and Sunday [Sept 28] from 8.00am to 2.00pm.
A spokesperson said, “The new executive of Somerset Bridge Recreation Club [SBRC] warmly invites the community to join us for a White Hill Field Cleanup on Saturday, September 27th & 28th 2025 8:00am to 2:00pm. Since our AGM in April 2025, the executive has been focused on a smooth transition, strengthening our committees, and maintaining cricket, football, and other core operations.”
President Teresa Burrows shared, “I am thrilled to see the executive and management team working hard to bring our club and community together for this upcoming clean up day. It has been a pleasure to witness the growth of our club and its members, and I believe in the importance of fostering a sense of togetherness, especially during time of division among our youth. I encourage club members, youth groups and community members to join us in this effort. Let’s come together to mend our bridges, maintain our club, and ensure it remains a welcoming space for all our future endeavours.
Facilities Manager noted that “this cleanup day is not only about preparing the grounds for the upcoming football season, but also about creating an opportunity for neighbours, supporters, and members to meet the new SBRC executive.”
The spokesperson said, “How you can help: Bring your landscaping tools, lawn mowers, or simply your helping hands to assist with clearing vegetation, picking up trash, and preparing the field. Community service hours will be awarded to students, and lunch will be served after the cleanup.
