Video: Tomas Mello Named Athlete Of Week
Bermudian goalkeeper Tomas Mello has been named the Saint Mary’s University male athlete of the week after standout performances against Dalhousie and Cape Breton.
A statement from the Canadian University said, “Tomas Mello, a first year goalkeeper from Smiths, Bermuda, is the Huskies male athlete of the week, sponsored by Freeman’s Little New York, for the week of Sept. 8-14, 2025.
“Mello was named Player of the Match in the Huskies 2-1 win over Dalhousie on Sunday afternoon, making eight saves to help Saint Mary’s secure a much-needed three point result.
“Mello also started the Huskies 3-0 loss to Cape Breton on Friday, making six saves in his AUS debut.”
