Bermudian Duo Power Eckerd To Podium
Bermudian sailors Paul Rodrigues Jr. and Jordan Vieira powered Eckerd College to a second-place finish overall at the three-day Southeastern Intercollegiate Sailing Association [SAISA] Open Fleet Race Championships.
Eckerd secured the runner-up position among 18 competing schools with a total of 96 points.
Jordan Vieira skippered the Eckerd A Boat [Division A] to a fifth-place divisional finish with 65 points, recording two second-place finishes.
Paul Rodrigues Jr. skippered the Eckerd B Boat [Division B] to the best B-Division score of the regatta with 31 points, highlighted by five first-place finishes.
