Crisson Jewellers Reopens After Burglary
Crisson Jewellers has reopened its Queen Street store today, following a temporary closure “due to a burglary and vandalism that occurred during the recent hurricane.”
“The Crisson team worked diligently to restore the store and resume serving the community as quickly as possible.”
“For over 100 years, Crisson has weathered many storms—both literal and figurative,” said Peter Crisson. “This incident was a setback, but we are grateful for the resilience and dedication of our team, who worked tirelessly to ensure we could reopen quickly and safely. We appreciate the patience and support of our customers during this difficult time.”
A spokesperson added, “The incident, which took advantage of the vulnerability created by severe weather conditions, is currently under investigation by local authorities. Crisson is calling on Bermuda’s community to remain vigilant and report any information that may assist law enforcement in bringing those responsible to justice.”
“Bermuda has always been strongest when we stand together,” continued Mr. Crisson. “We ask our community to stand with us, not just as customers, but as partners in ensuring our island remains a safe place to do business. Together, we can send a clear message that such actions will not be tolerated.”
A spokesperson added, “All three locations are now fully operational and ready to serve customers. Information about opening hours can be found on www.crisson.com.”
