Cyber Tec Security Expands To Bermuda
Cyber Tec Security has expanded to Bermuda to offer internationally recognised cybersecurity certifications.
A spokesperson said, “Bermudian organisations can now achieve internationally recognised cyber certifications without leaving the island, strengthening their resilience and compliance in today’s fast-moving digital economy.
“Cyber Tec Security, one of the United Kingdom’s leading certifying bodies, has expanded to Bermuda to offer the International Cyber Baseline [ICB] and International Cyber Assurance [ICA] certifications.
“Together, they help businesses demonstrate that they meet both international standards and demonstrate compliance with Bermuda’s Personal Information Protection Act [PIPA].”
“This is about making cybersecurity practical and attainable,” said Mike Ralston, Chief Executive Officer of Cyber Tec Security.
“We’re giving Bermudian firms a cost-effective way to prove they’re safe, compliant, and trusted, the qualities every modern customer and funder looks for.”
The firm’s COO Louise Ralston added: “We pride ourselves on having a human approach, and because we realise that people do not always have the time or the expertise, we will hold a customer’s hand throughout the process. We will not leave them alone.”
A spokesperson added, “Founded in 2019 and headquartered in Jersey, Cyber Tec Security is the UK’s third-largest certifying body, with more than 3,000 clients and over 250 assessments completed every month.
“The company’s expertise spans Cyber Essentials [UK], ICB, and ICA, along with vulnerability and penetration testing that helps organisations strengthen their governance, risk, and compliance [GRC].”
“The ICA is now approved by the Bermuda Privacy Commissioner as a recognised route towards helping to demonstrate PIPA compliance,” said Mr. Ralston. “For the first time, firms can demonstrate international-level cybersecurity credentials right here at home.”
A spokesperson added, “The firm’s services are especially valuable for small and medium-sized enterprises [SMEs] that often lack dedicated compliance staff or the budget for costly consultants.”
“Bermuda offers an ideal base, it’s innovative, well-connected, and globally respected,” added Mr. Ralston. “We’re excited to invest in local talent, work with Bermudian businesses, and contribute to the island’s leadership in digital trust.”
A spokesperson added, “Cyber Tec Security will operate from Hamilton and plans to employ and train Bermuda-based assessors and sales representatives, building long-term local expertise.
