MacFarlane And Newton Lead Junior Golf
Lewis MacFarlane and Arman Newton established initial leads in their respective divisions after the first day of the CS Tires Cobra Puma Junior Championship at the Ocean View Golf Course.
Boys 14-17 Division
Arman Newton recorded the lowest score of the day, carding an even-par 72 to take the lead in the Boys 14-17 Division.
Johnny Bart finished four strokes back with a 76, positioning himself in second place. Ramsay Soutter sits in third place after an opening-round score of 79. Newton will aim to maintain his standing during the final round to secure the trophy.
Boys 11-13 Division
Lewis MacFarlane established a commanding seven-stroke lead in the Boys 11-13 category. MacFarlane’s first-round score of 77 positioned him ahead of the field.
Fletcher Logie holds second place with an 84, narrowly leading Damian Moniz, who is in third place after completing his opening round with an 85.
Girls Division
Darina Betschart, the sole competitor in the Girls Division, recorded a score of 4-over par 74.
