Jessica Lewis Proud Of Her Performances
Para-athlete Jessica Lewis has reflected on her season with pride and gratitude.
The four-time Paralympian said she has learned plenty from her recent performances at the World Para Athletics Championships in New Delhi, India, where she finished fifth in the T53 100 and 400 metres.
“That’s a wrap on the 2025 racing season!” Lewis said. “It’s taken me a little bit of time to process it all and find the words to express how I’ve been feeling.
“I’m proud to have come away with a fifth-place finish in both the 100 and 400 metres at World Championships.”
Lewis highlighted the unique experience of competing internationally.
“Competing in India was a unique experience in itself that showed me the power of the human spirit,” she said.
“I loved experiencing the different culture and am thankful to the Canadian team staff, my coach Geoff [Harris], my mom and Sarthak for making it an environment where we could compete at our best.”
The 32-year-old also emphasised the value of her support network.
“I’m so lucky to have an amazing support team surrounding me that help to build me back up,” she added.
“A big thank you to Arch Capital Group continued belief in me and my racing journey.
“It’s an honour for me to represent them and Bermuda on the international stage.
“Now for a few weeks off before getting back into training for the 2026 season!”
