Kenni Thompson On Upcoming Bermuda Games
Kenni Thompson is eager to make an impact for the Bermuda women’s national football team in their upcoming Concacaf W Qualifiers.
The winger has been in impressive form this season for AFC Bournemouth Women, creating a goal in their 2-1 home win over Lewes Women yesterday [October 5].
Thompson became the first Bournemouth player to earn international honours when she was called up by Bermuda against Belize in July last year.
She had already made her international debut against the Dominican Republic before signing for the FA Women’s National League Southern Premier Division side in December 2023.
Bermuda have qualifiers against the Cayman Islands and Guatemala at the end of next month.

“There are qualifiers coming up and that will be a big thing,” Thompson told the Bournemouth website.
“Hopefully, I can get back with the girls and, as a country, we are really looking forward to seeing how far we can go.
“If you make the squad, you get to visit some amazing places, and it can be really good for you as a player.
“It’s always an honour if you get the chance to represent your country.
“I keep in contact with the coach [Naquita Robinson] quite a bit and give her updates on how I’m doing. I would be really excited to get back.”
Thompson, who scored on the opening day of the season against Billericay Town, helped her team gain promotion from the Division One South West last term as the title-winners.
“We knew coming into this season it was going to be a big step up, but we have risen to the challenge really well, and we are all happy with the start we’ve made,” Thompson added.
