Police Share Halloween Safety Tips
The Bermuda Police Service is reminding the public to celebrate Halloween safely and responsibly as officers increase their presence across the island.
Superintendent Arthur Glasford of the Tactical Operations Division said, “As Bermuda celebrates Halloween, the Bermuda Police Service [BPS] encourages everyone to enjoy the festivities safely, responsibly, and with care for one another.
“With more foot traffic expected after dark, especially from our younger trick-or-treaters, we’re asking parents and guardians to make sure children can be easily spotted by drivers.
“Bright costumes, reflective materials, and flashlights go a long way in keeping everyone safe.
“Young children should always be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Older children, heading out in groups, should be supervised by a trusted adult or responsible older sibling.
“Let’s work together to keep the celebrations incident-free.
“Halloween is a time for fun—not antisocial behaviour. We remind everyone to be respectful and courteous.
“Antisocial behaviour, including vandalism will not be tolerated. BPS officers will be out across the island, maintaining a visible presence and ready to assist wherever needed.
“If you notice anything suspicious or concerning, please contact us right away. Dial 211 for non-emergencies or 911 if it’s urgent. Your vigilance helps in making Bermuda safer.
“We appreciate the continued support from our community and wish everyone a safe, and enjoyable Halloween.”
