Premier To Speak At PwC Insurance Summit

Premier David Burt will join global industry leaders and tech innovators at the PwC Insurance Summit on November 12 at the Hamilton Princess, an event expected to draw over 300 attendees from more than 100 reinsurers and financial services firms.

A spokesperson said, “The PwC Insurance Summit PwC is proud to announce a distinguished roster of speakers for its upcoming event. Over 300 attendees from 100+ reinsurers and financial services firms are registered.

“Premier the Hon. David Burt will take part in a keynote interview with the Financial Times insurance correspondent Lee Harris. Senior insurance strategy and innovation leader at Google, Christina Lucas, participates in the session: Beyond the hype – integrating automotion, AI and emerging technologies to drive meaningful change.

“Joining them are the chief executives of the top global re/insurers who will explore how the industry, in the face of escalating catastrophic events, emerging cyber threats and advancements in AI, is confronted with unparalleled challenges in bridging protection gaps and securing strategic priorities.”

Arthur Wightman, Territory and Insurance leader, PwC Bermuda, said: “This summit reflects PwC’s commitment to fostering dialogue and innovation among the industry’s leaders, ensuring that we not only adapt to change but drive it.     Why anyone in the re-/insurance industry would care about what Burt has to say about the industry is a mystery.

    It’s like having a traffic warden attend a summit for quantum physicists to contribute their expertise to the discussion on the Schrödinger Equation. What good it’ll do is anyone’s guess!

      Politicians like to speak at such events and PWC will not want to offend the Premier. They are just being polite.

        Was PwC just being polite when they invited Ron DeSantis? Or are they bring willfully blind to to his actions? And will Premier Burt just be polite when he greets him, or will he,too, be blind?
