The City of Hamilton has announced a new 1:00 p.m. start time for this Sunday’s Taste of Bermuda Tasting Village to avoid passing showers, with the event now running until 7:00 p.m. at City Hall Car Park.

A spokesperson said, “The City of Hamilton wishes to advise the public that the start time for this Sunday’s highly anticipated Tasting Village, part of the 2025 Taste of Bermuda food festival, has been adjusted from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. to help avoid passing showers. The event will still take place at City Hall Car Park and will now run until 7:00 p.m. instead of 6 p.m. as originally scheduled.

“This year’s Tasting Village promises to be bigger and bolder than ever, featuring an irresistible lineup of local vendors serving up culinary creations from across the globe – from Mexico to India and, of course, Bermuda. Guests can indulge in sweet treats like gourmet cotton candy, explore interactive tasting stations, and enjoy a full afternoon of live entertainment, including a high-energy performance by Mapy “The Violin Queen” and thrilling displays from sway pole dancers.

“The family-friendly event will also include fun activities for all ages, chef demos and plenty of opportunities to celebrate Bermuda’s diverse food scene and creative talent, all under one roof at the new location.

“Updated Road and Car Park Closure Information:

  • “City Hall Car Park – The City Hall Car Park will be closed from 6:00 a.m. on Saturday October 11th to 6:00 a.m. on Monday October 13th, 2025. There will be no parking in these areas during these times.
  • “Church Street will be closed between Queen and Washington Streets [Bus Terminal] from 6am on Sunday October 12th until 9 p.m. Sunday October 12th. There will be no parking permitted in this area from 11 p.m. Saturday October 11th until 9 p.m. Sunday October 12th.
  • “Church Street Taxi Stand will be relocated to Church Street [outside of Chevron House] on Sunday October 12th, 2025 from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.

“Additional Notices:

  • “Businesses should place their trash for collection no later than 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 11th. There will be no trash collection on Sunday, October 12th. Regular trash collection will resume on Monday, October 13th.

“The City encourages everyone to come out and enjoy this signature festival finale in its new location as we celebrate the best of Bermuda’s culinary culture and community spirit.
