BHS To Host Inaugural AI Summit On Nov 26
The Bermuda High School [BHS] will host its inaugural AI Summit on November 26th as part of Round Square Day celebrations.
A spokesperson said, “The Bermuda High School is embracing Artificial Intelligence in its curriculum. On November 26th, the school will host their inaugural AI Summit as part of its Round Square Day celebrations.”
“The theme of our Round Square day is usually based on the theme of the Round Square Conference of the year. This year’s theme, ‘Beyond The Dunes’, introduced us to the lessons that Dubai has learned in growing itself from a desert outpost to a city for tomorrow.”
“In a similar context, we wish to prepare our students for a world in which innovation through AI propels their world. Using experiential learning, we are creating an opportunity for BHS to lead the way in helping our community become globally minded, courageous, and compassionate in their adaptation and use of AI,” remarked Shirley Kelly, Assistant Head of Secondary and Round Square Coordinator.
The spokesperson said, “Keynote speaker Rajeev Kapur will lead the AI Summit. An author and AI expert, Mr Kapur will travel from California to Bermuda to share his extensive knowledge on AI and innovation. Mr Kapur forged a relationship with BHS during a 2025 visit to the school to speak with students about his book, AI Made Simple.
“The summit will include multiple student-led workshops and two free community events. From Chatbots to Change-Makers: How AI Is Powering The Next Generation will take place from 8:15am to 12:30pm and will include several workshops, some of which will be student-led. BHS are sharing their passion for AI by opening this event to other local schools.
“Parenting in the Age of AI will run from 12:30pm to 1:20pm, followed by The Future Is Now: How AI Is Changing Our World [& What That Means For You] beginning at 5:30pm. Both community events are being offered free of charge and are open to the general public.”
“AI is a powerful tool that is shaping our future. However, human development still requires that young people know how to ask questions, think and possess a broad base of knowledge in order to use AI constructively and safely. We are grateful to Mr Kapur for propelling us forward with his expertise and generous contribution to our infrastructure. We hope the greater community will join us for these free events ”, commented Head of School, Carol A. Swainson.
The spokesperson said, “In addition to the AI summit, BHS will celebrate the opening of The Rajeev Kapur Centre for AI Leadership. Of his investment in the school, Mr Kapur said, “It’s an honour to partner with Carol to bring The Rajeev Kapur Centre for AI Leadership to Bermuda. This represents my commitment to ensuring that every person, be it faculty or student, has access to the knowledge and confidence to lead and grow in the age of AI. Bermuda High School is the perfect place to inspire the next generation of leaders—curious, capable, and ready to shape the future with intelligence and empathy.”
“Registration for the AI Summit community events is available at BHS.bm/events.”

This is hilarious. Setting up students to use something that will cost them any job security in only a few years.
AI is not all that it is hyped up to be. It is a simple tool, and the results must absolutely be verified.
Example: Humanity’s Last Exam (HLE) is a challenging benchmark designed to test the reasoning capabilities of AI models through 2,500 complex questions across various subjects. Overview of Humanity’s Last Exam:
Humanity’s Last Exam (HLE) is a multi-modal benchmark created to evaluate the advanced capabilities of artificial intelligence (AI) models. It was developed by the Center for AI Safety and Scale AI in response to the saturation of existing benchmarks, which have become too easy for state-of-the-art AI systems. The exam consists of 2,500 questions covering a wide range of subjects, including mathematics, physics, biology, humanities, and computer science.
