Khan Brothers Shine At Disney Marathon
Brothers Numair and Hasan Khan delivered stellar performances at the 2025 runDisney Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend at Walt Disney World Resort.
A spokesperson said, “The event is massive, drawing tens of thousands of international athletes to a four-day weekend of races, including the 5K, and 10K, Half Marathon, the 19.3-mile Two Course Challenge includes 10k and half marathon.
Numair Claims 1st position in Age-Group 19-24
“Numair Khan, 19, delivered a phenomenal showing in the 10K race, a 6.2-mile course winding through Epcot theme park, crescent lake and the surroundings. Numair finished with an official net time of 42:09, securing 1st place in the highly competitive 19–24 age group. Among the 11,968 total finishers in the 10K, he ranked an impressive 19th overall among all male runners.
“Numair also successfully completed the shorter, Mulan and Mushu-themed 5K race earlier in the weekend.
Hasan Conquers the 19.3-Mile Challenge
“His younger brother, Hasan Khan, 14, impressed critics with his endurance. Hasan completed the 5K and then went on to tackle the demanding Disney Two Course Challenge, running the 10K and the Half Marathon [13.1 miles] on consecutive mornings for a total of 19.3 miles.
“Hasan’s 10K net time of 56:54 earned him 13th place in the Men 14–17 age group. The Half Marathon course took runners through Epcot, Crescent Lake, Hollywood Studios, and their surroundings. By completing all three weekend races and the challenge, Hasan earned four unique finisher medals.
Academic and Athletic Pedigree
“The brothers’ success is built on exceptional dedication both academically and athletically while being home-schooled on the island. Numair, raised in Bermuda since age two, achieved several record-breaking academic milestones, including becoming an ACCA-qualified accountant at age 14 and have achieved the designation of Associate of the Society of Actuaries [ASA] at age 18. Numair also plays Tennis and has won several tournaments on the island and abroad.
“Hasan, born and raised in Bermuda, has a strong sports background, having previously represented the island twice on the National Under-12 Tennis Team in international competition and scored a silver medal along with his team.
“Numair’s running success locally includes taking the Men’s overall title at the PHC Good Friday Mile in April 2025, a second-place finish in the Senior School Boys category at the Butterfield & Vallis 5K, and strong placements at the Somersfield Academy Fun Run and Walk.
Numair commented on the magical atmosphere: ‘The experience was truly unforgettable. Running through the parks made the miles fly by. It felt amazing to see the results of consistent training from our island base pay off on such a huge stage.’
