Fundraiser Launched For Striker Kole Hall

A GoFundMe page has been launched for Bermuda national team footballer Kole Hall after he was diagnosed with a “serious medical condition”.

Hall’s semi-professional club Chorley, who compete in the Vanarama National League North, have launched a fundraiser after he returned to England from international duty last summer with the condition.

More than $10,500 [£8,400] of the $13,100 [£10,000] target has been raised already for the striker, with $1,300 [£1,000] coming from the Magpie Trust, who own 10 per cent of Chorley’s shares.

Mark Oldham, chairman of Magpies, told the LancsLive website: “Kole is a very private person so him trying to do something like this would be impossible, We’re doing this because the last thing we want is for him to not get the treatment he needs.

“We’re an independent trust here to support the players of Chorley FC and the wider community, we’re just there to assist and help when we can with the club.

“Although we initially set out to raise £3k, this morning we woke up to see £6k had been raised which should get him through the next few months.

“We’ve now set a target of £10k which would help him longer.”

It is understood that Hall, who does not want to give details about his condition, is unlikely to play again this season.

The GoFundMe page reads: “Your donations will go directly towards funding further medical testing and treatment for Kole, helping him take the next steps in his recovery and giving him the best possible chance to return to full health – and hopefully, back onto the pitch where he belongs.

“Every contribution, no matter how small, will make a real difference. Thank you for your generosity, compassion, and continued support for Kole during this challenging time.”

Hall, 27, has played for several clubs in England, including Chester, Scarborough Athletic, Radcliffe, AFC Telford, Altrincham and Nantwich Town.
