Video: Preview For Sailing Documentary
A first-look preview has been released for Windblown, a new documentary celebrating the storied history of the Newport Bermuda Race.
The film includes footage from the 2024 race and comes ahead of a milestone year in 2026, when the event marks the 120th anniversary of its founding and a century-long partnership between the Cruising Club of America and the Royal Bermuda Yacht Club.
The Newport Bermuda Race is a 636-mile biennial ocean race from Newport, Rhode Island, to Bermuda.
Established in 1906, it is the oldest regularly scheduled ocean race and remains one of the few major offshore competitions sailed almost entirely out of sight of land.
The race is organised by the Bermuda Race Foundation, a collaboration between the Cruising Club of America and the Royal Bermuda Yacht Club.
