Open Mat Athletes Set For Championship
Seven athletes from Open Mat Bermuda are set to compete at the International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation No-Gi World Championship in Las Vegas.
The team consists of Chris Regan, Jason McAlpine, Lonnie Bascome, Reina Maypa, Greg Maybury, Ryan Hopkins and Ramazan Ramazanov.
The championship, which starts on Thursday [December 11], is the premier stage for modern grappling.
The divisions range from rising young talents to experienced champions.
