Erica Hawley Claims Eighth-Place Finish
Erica Hawley finished eighth in the professional women’s division in the Ironman 70.3 La Quinta near Palm Springs, California, yesterday [December 7].
Competing in her first 70.3 race, Hawley completed the 1.9-kilometres swim, 90km bike and 13.1-mile run in 4hr 17min 32sec.
Her splits were 26:02, 2:21:26 and 1:24:59.
“Well done to Erica yesterday finishing in eighth place on the Pro Women division at Ironman 70.3 La Quinta,” the Bermuda Triathlon Association wrote on social media. “A fantastic race.”
