Insley & Williamson Win Gold At JP Invitational
Harbour Swim Club athletes Rhys Insley and Sam Williamson tied for first place in the men’s 50-meter breaststroke 16-and-over A final at the JP Fiset Invitational.
Both swimmers finished with an identical time of 29.68 seconds to share the gold medal. The result established a new personal best for Insley.
Insley entered the final as the top seed after recording a time of 29.72 in the preliminaries. Williamson qualified as the third seed with a preliminary time of 30.72.
Williamson secured a second gold medal in the men’s 50-meter butterfly. He won the 16-and-over A final in a personal best time of 25.40. During the preliminaries, Williamson clocked 26.07 to advance as the second seed.
