KPMG’s K-Nect Student Event On December 15
KPMG in Bermuda will host its K-Nect student networking event on December 15 to help students explore careers in financial services.
A spokesperson said, “KPMG in Bermuda will host its second biannual student networking event of the year, K-Nect, on Monday, December 15th from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the firm’s offices in Crown House, 4 Par-la Ville Road, Pembroke.
“Designed for high school and university students, K-Nect introduces young people to the financial services industry and provides a platform to explore career pathways available at KPMG in Bermuda. Over the years, the event has connected hundreds of students with industry professionals, helping them gain insights into future academic, internship, and employment opportunities. They can also enjoy food and fun giveaways while they network and explore their future!”
Felicia Wilsen, KPMG Partner and Chair, Lift off Program said, “This month’s K-Nect, themed ‘Frost and Future’, provides a direct opportunity to hear more about our Lift Off Program, which supports Bermudian students through internships, work shadowing, and long-term career development. The evening offers both locally-based students and those returning home for the winter break a valuable opportunity to have meaningful conversations and exposure to different service lines; students can better understand the skills and experiences that shape a career in financial services.”
The spokesperson said, “At the event, attendees will be able to:
- Engage with career booths staffed by KPMG professionals to learn about various roles and potential career pathways.
- Gain information about the Lift Off Program, including work shadowing, summer internships, co-op placements, scholarships, and full-time opportunities.
- Submit their resumes for review and consideration or feedback by the Human Resources team.
- Ask questions and learn more about the financial services industry in an informative and welcoming setting.
