The Continental Bowling League saw major upsets at Warwick Lanes this week as seventh-placed Invaders defeated second-placed Under Dawgs 19-8.
Third-placed Astronauts recorded a 25-2 victory over Spicenix, maintaining their challenge for a top-two finish as the season nears its final stages.
League leaders Nifty Rollers were unable to play their scheduled match against fourth-placed Odd Balls, which was postponed, leaving the Rollers at the top but adding to a growing fixture backlog.
Lower in the standings, eighth-placed New Hope beat ninth-placed Sunset 18-9, gaining crucial points to move away from the bottom, while Sunset remains in last place. Fifth-placed Cubs had a scheduled bye week, leaving the mid-table positions tightly contested.
