Sharrieff & Howard Finish Third In Baltimore

Bermudian swimmer Myeisha Sharrieff helped Howard University finish third at the H2ounds Invitational in Baltimore.

Competing at the Mangione Aquatic Center, the Howard women’s swimming and diving team scored 1,115.50 points over the three-day meet, finishing behind Loyola Maryland and runner-up Colgate University.

Sharrieff, a third-year Bison, posted a career-best 56.11 seconds in the 100-yard backstroke preliminaries and followed with a fourth-place finish in the ‘A’ final at 56.34. She also set a personal best of 2:09.67 in the 200-yard backstroke preliminaries, finishing 17th, before touching eighth in the ‘B’ final at 2:10.27.

In the 50-yard freestyle, Sharrieff placed 30th with a time of 24.74 seconds. She contributed to Howard’s relay teams as lead-off swimmer, helping the 200-yard medley relay finish sixth in 1:44.74 and the 400-yard medley relay place sixth in 3:50.59.
