Sunday Jan 11th: “Good News” Spotlight
News that Willie Clemons scored and earned Man of the Match honours for Leiston FC, Jasmine Spence scored for Newport Pagnell Town, and swimmer Elijah Daley won three events were among the positive sports stories from the past week.
In additional good news, Joseph Lau won a bronze medal on day two of the Victor Ontario Junior C Badminton Tournament, while Hereford FC signed Bermudians Justin Donawa from Brackley Town and Keziah Martin on loan from Buxton.
Other good news stories included Taylor White helping Bentley claim a dual meet win, Riley Khan being congratulated on an Under-17 call-up, Nathan Trott keeping a clean sheet in victory, and Onuri Smith’s pantomime performances.
