Lyrics
1. I’m a cookie supposed to be consumed,
Likely around mid-afternoon,
By a gal named Sal, or some Junior Joe,
And that is not a bad way to go.
2. I’m a cookie intended as a treat,
I’m not nutritionally complete.
To be something sweet, with a nice cup of tea,
Would be a fine end for me.
Chorus:
‘Cos I’m a Teddy Graham, I’m the best that I can be.
I’m made by Nabisco to a special recipe.
I may only be a biscuit, but I really must impress,
The best way to go is, while you’re still fresh!
I’m a cookie and I have a dream.
My mate wants to be a Custard Cream.
Fresh out of the jar, I wanna be a superstar!
But cookies as a rule don’t go far.
I’m a cookie, supposed to be consumed.
Got me a sell-by date of June.
So I joined up with Joe; we got our own Broadway show!
I’m Teddy, and Joe’s an Oreo!
Chorus
