Men’s Tennis Team Returns Triumphant
Bermuda’s Davis Cup men’s tennis team returned home to a warm welcome at L.F. Wade International Airport after their historic World Group II win over Georgia.
A Government spokesperson said, “Members of Bermuda’s Davis Cup men’s tennis team were welcomed home at L.F. Wade International Airport on Monday evening, February 9, following their historic World Group II victory over Georgia.
“The Junior Minister of Tourism & Transport, Culture & Sport, Sen. Mischa Fubler, joined supporters and family members at the airport to congratulate the team on their 3–2 win and commend their outstanding performance on the international stage.
“The Davis Cup is regarded as the World Cup of tennis, and Bermuda’s victory marks a significant achievement for the country’s sporting history.”
