BNAA Trio Achieves Carifta Standards
Sanchez Smith, GianLuca Bortoli and Amara Samuels achieved Carifta qualifying standards at the BNAA Trial Mini Meet.
A spokesperson said, “The BNAA held another Carifta Trial Mini Meet, and we are pleased to announce that we have two additional athletes reach the qualifying standards.
“Sanchez Smith reached the qualifying standard in the U17 boys 3000M in a time of 9:38, surpassing the standard by 20 seconds.
“GianLuca Bortoli reached the qualifying standard in the U20 boys 5000M in a time of 15:59. The standard is 16:40.
“Amara Samuels, who already met the U17 girls 100M standard [on Saturday] also reached the standard in the 200M in a time of 25.20. The standard is 25.25.”
