Emergency Lane Closures In St. George’s
Emergency lane closures are in effect on sections of Stokes Point Road and Mullet Bay Road in St. George’s to facilitate BELCO trench works.
A Government spokesperson said, “The Ministry of Public Works and Environment advises the motoring public that emergency lane closures are now in effect along sections of Stokes Point Road and Mullet Bay Road in St. George’s to facilitate BELCO trench works.
“These works are required to repair a vault failure on Ferry Road and will continue immediately through to Friday, 28 February 2026.
“The trench works will take place at multiple sidewalk locations and grass shoulders along Mullet Bay Road near Ferry Road, and along Stokes Point Road from the old bridge crossing to Mullet Bay Road. Working hours are Monday to Friday, from 7.30 a.m. to 6.00 p.m.
“Minor delays are anticipated. Traffic controls will be managed by BELCO representatives using cones and stop-and-go signs to ensure the safe movement of vehicles through the affected areas.
“The Ministry thanks the public for its cooperation and apologises for any inconvenience caused.”
