Golf: Hunt & Lightbourne Win Monthly Medal
The Bermuda Golf Association held its February Monthly Medal at Turtle Hill Golf Club, with players competing across multiple divisions on the par-three course.
In the Men’s Championship Division, Fraser Hunt claimed victory with a three-over-par 57, finishing three strokes clear of the field. Dan Roy and Alistair Lynch both posted six-over-par 60, with Roy awarded second place on a countback and Lynch finishing third.
Morgan Lightbourne won the Ladies Division with a 13-over-par 67. Linda Down and Ann Mitchell each recorded 16-over-par 70, with Down taking second place on a tie-break and Mitchell placing third.
The Senior Men’s Division [55 and over] was contested in two flights. In the First Flight, Christopher Phillips led the field with a six-over-par 60. Steven Duxbury finished second at eight-over-par, and Sinclair Trott was third with an 11-over-par 65.
In the Second Flight, David Roberts secured first place with a 17-over-par 71. Alan Lugo and Simon Benedek both finished at 18-over-par, with Lugo awarded second on a tie-break and Benedek third.
Closest-to-the-pin prizes were awarded to Morgan Lightbourne on the 11th hole in the Ladies division, Aaron Adams on the ninth hole in the Senior Men’s division, Arthur Cooper on the sixth hole in the Juniors division, and Ciaran Duffy on the 17th hole in the Men’s division.
