Football Team Inspires Students At Local Schools
The Bermuda Senior Women’s National Football Team took some time out from training to visit two of Bermuda’s schools, stopping by Dellwood Middle School and Mount Saint Agnes Academy.
A spokesperson said, “During a special assembly at Dellwood, the players were able to share some positive messages and their individual stories. They took the opportunity to host a juggling competition. In a special moment, the team presented a jersey, signed by all the players, to the matriarch of women’s football in Bermuda, Ms. Alicia Zuill. She is widely recognized as the driving force behind the first women’s league. At Mount Saint Agnes, a small contingent led by coaches Naquita Robinson and Calvin Dill Jr. read to students.
“Our Lady Warriors will be in action on March 3rd at the Flora Duffy South Field. The match kicks off at 7. Tickets, available on GPASS.bm, are selling fast, and we want to see all of Bermuda out to support our Lady Warriors.”
