Motorcyclist Injured In Pembroke Crash

[Updated] A male motorcyclist was taken to hospital with a suspected head injury after a crash in Pembroke.

A police spokesperson said, “There has been a serious single vehicle road traffic collision involving a motorcycle near the junction of Cedar Avenue and Angle Street, Pembroke.

“Details are limited at this time however, initial information suggests the male motorcycle may have sustained a head injury after he lost control of the vehicle and struck a tree.

“He has been transported by ambulance to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for further treatment of his injuries, the extent of which is unknown at this time.

“The roadway at the collision scene is currently closed to vehicular traffic and motorists are advised to avoid the area and use alternative routes to get to their destinations.”

Update March 2, 3.00pm: A police spokesperson said, “A motorcyclist hurt in a reported single vehicle collision around 10:15pm Friday, 27th February 2026, was not as badly injured as originally thought.

“The rider, said to be a 59-year-old Pembroke man, was believed to have sustained a head injury after apparently colliding with a kerb while travelling along Cedar Avenue, near Angle Street, Pembroke.

“He was transported to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital by ambulance for treatment and further medical assessment.

“However, his injuries were later deemed less serious.

“There were traffic disruptions in the area while the collision scene was processed and initial inquiries conducted.

“The Bermuda Police Service thanks the member of our community who reported this collision, as well as the witness who came forward.”
