Bermuda Trio Shine At Florida Championships
Bermudian athletes Arima Turner, Amaris Munya and Miles Outerbridge recorded strong performances while representing Montverde Academy at the Florida High School Indoor Championships, competing against a field of top collegiate-bound talent from across the United States.
Outerbridge led the Bermudian contingent with an impressive showing in the 60-meter dash. He opened the event with a time of 6.88 seconds before improving to 6.76 seconds in a later preliminary heat, finishing second overall. T
In the middle-distance events, Munya competed in the 800-meter run, navigating a crowded field to place ninth with a time of 2:19.83.
Turner contested both the 60-meter and 200-meter dashes. She finished 14th in the 60 meters with a time of 7.74 seconds and placed 21st in the 200 meters, recording 25.19 seconds.
