Bermuda Compete At ITF Junior Event
Bermuda’s under-14 tennis players have started their ITF World Junior Tennis campaign in El Salvador.
The girls’ team were defeated by Honduras on the opening day.
Bermuda are competing in group B of the regional pre-qualifying tournament in Santa Tecla.
The event serves as the qualification pathway for Under-14 players seeking entry into the ITF World Junior Tennis Finals later this year.
Honduras opened the tie through Warde Simon, who defeated Bermuda’s Arianna Parra 6-1, 6-0.
Adriana Isabella Canahuati Bonilla then beat Chloe McBrearty 6-1, 7-5.
Honduras completed the sweep in the doubles, with Veronique Kafti and Warde Simon defeating McBrearty and Parra 6-1, 6-0.
