Bermuda Health Council Launches Helping Hub
The Bermuda Health Council has soft-launched Helping Hub, an AI-enabled platform to help residents and providers find and coordinate health and social care services.
A spokesperson said, “The Bermuda Health Council has announced the soft launch of Helping Hub [helpinghub.bm], a new AI-enabled digital platform designed to make it easier for residents and providers to find and coordinate health and social care services in Bermuda.
“For too long, finding help in Bermuda has often required knowing who to call before you even know what you need: If a parent is worried about a child; if an adult child is caring for an aging parent; or if someone is navigating a new diagnosis, The first challenge has not been treatment, it has been figuring out where to begin – Helping Hub changes that.
“One Place to Start – Helping Hub provides a single, centralized platform where residents can describe their situation in plain language and receive guided matches to relevant local services. For example:
“‘My father is starting to forget things and needs help at home.’
“At its core, Helping Hub aims to ensure that no one in Bermuda feels lost when trying to find help. Instead of searching multiple websites or relying solely on word-of-mouth, the platform uses intelligent matching tools and real-time geo-mapping to identify nearby services, programmes, and regulated professionals. Helping Hub is primarily powered by the information provided by organizations and professionals therefore, the better the information provided, the more effectively the system connects residents to appropriate support.
“Strengthening Coordination Across the System – Helping Hub is also designed as a tool for providers. Health and social service professionals can:
- Identify services based on client needs and location
- View regulatory indicators grounded in formal inspection standards
- Generate, send, or print lists of support services for clients
- Improve referral coordination and reduce delays in access
“By improving visibility across the system, Helping Hub supports more efficient use of resources and stronger coordination. This is an important step as Bermuda continues modernizing healthcare delivery and strengthening public services.
“Built on Transparency and Accountability – Helping Hub includes:
- A searchable directory of health and social care businesses, professionals and programmes
- A community calendar for clinics, workshops, and events
- A blog space for health and social education
- The official public register for regulated health professionals
- Regulatory badges and composite performance indicators based on formal inspection principles for health service providers: Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsive, and Well-led
“These indicators reflect structured regulatory oversight, not informal public reviews, and are designed to strengthen transparency and public confidence.
“A Phased and Responsible Rollout – This is a soft launch. Initially the Health Council populated the system using information from existing health service provider licensing and health professional registration processes. The first phase of the public roll-out will be inviting health and social service providers to review and update their profiles to ensure accuracy. Statutory Boards and regulated professionals will be engaged in the next phase. A later phase will invite caregivers and other skilled contributors to participate voluntarily. Understanding the full scope of Bermuda’s health and social workforce supports long-term sustainability and smarter planning.
“Looking Ahead – Helping Hub reflects Bermuda’s continued investment in digital innovation, transparency, and system coordination. It is designed not only to make navigation easier today, but to strengthen how services are connected and delivered over time. Once fully stabilized locally, the Health Council intends to explore expansion into the Caribbean region to support cross-border collaboration among small island health systems.”
A Health Council spokesperson noted: “Helping Hub is about clarity, coordination, and confidence. It makes it easier for residents to find support and easier for providers to connect people to care. We are building this platform carefully and responsibly, ensuring that accuracy, transparency, and public trust remain at the foundation.”
