The Bermuda Triple Challenge returns March 13–15 for its final edition, featuring three days of obstacle courses to raise funds for five Bermudian youth charities.

A spokesperson said, “The Bermuda Triple Challenge returns, for what will be, the final rendition! Friday, March 13 th – Sunday, March 15 th participants will run, jump, climb and crawl their way through three unique obstacle courses over three exciting days in support of five Bermudian youth-based charities. This years’ beneficiaries are Tomorrow’s Voices, Knowledge Quest, Raleigh Bermuda, the Bermuda Foundation of Insurance Studies, and the Bermuda Zoological Society.”

Co-Race Director Clare Panchaud shared, “The unique scoring format allows for anyone to win. One point for every dollar raised, so the emphasis is on fundraising and participating! The more an individual/team fund raise, the better positioned participants are to win. Plus each $500 increment of charitable funds raised earns teams up to three obstacle wildcards which participants can use to “skip” any non-mandatory obstacle during the weekend, saving precious time on course.”

The spokesperson said, “Individuals, and teams of up to five participants will navigate obstacles ranging from scaling shipping containers, A-frame walls, traversing the Regiment’s Assault Course, a 300 ft water-slide and even climb over one of the islands iconic pink n’ blue buses. The Bermuda Triple Challenge’s unique scoring system combines points for fundraising with finishing times in order to determine who is crowned ‘The Fittest For Charity’.”

Organizers have seen strong registration to date, including 30 internationals. Co-Race Director Jason Correia shared, “100% of every dollar raised is donated to the weekend’s charities. This will be the eleventh Bermuda Triple Challenge weekend and to date we have raised $550,000 on behalf of youth programs within Bermudian charities. The team is extremely proud of what we’ve accomplished and are extremely grateful for all the volunteers and corporate sponsors since 2012, including this year’s sponsors, CG, Butterfield & Vallis, Take Five Catering and Chubb.”

The spokesperson said, “The Bermuda Triple Challenge kicks off at 7:00 pm Friday, March 13 th with the CG Urban Foot Race through the old town of St. George’s followed by a community block-party with DJ Fury and a bouncy castle for all to enjoy.

“The Butterfield & Vallis Island Challenge starts Saturday morning at 8:40am from Warwick Camp and will be followed by a family-style BBQ courtesy of Take Five Catering and Butterfield & Vallis.

“Sunday’s CHUBB Royal Challenge finale at 9:45am will see participants in an all-out assault on Lagoon Park in the Chubb Royal Challenge.

“The weekend is wrapped up with the much-anticipated Take Five Catering / Butterfield & Vallis participant appreciation brunch.
