Boxer Tyler Christopher Wins By Decision

Boxer Tyler Christopher extended his unbeaten professional record to 12 wins after defeating Josh Cook in Staffordshire, England, on Thursday [March 5].
Christopher accepted the four-round super-welterweight contest on just four days’ notice and was awarded a unanimous decision by the referee on the St Patrick’s fight card at the Excelsior Sporting Club in Cannock.
Journeyman Cook has a record of one win, 59 defeats and three draws.
Southpaw Christopher thanked his team in a post on social media after the bout.
“Thank you to my coach Anthony Hull,” Christopher wrote. “Thank you to my manager Jon Pegg. Thank you to Scott Murray for getting me on the show.”
Hull, who coaches Christopher at the D&A Boxing School of Excellence in Stirchley, Birmingham, said the Bermudian controlled the fight from start to finish.
“Moving to 12-0 with a solid performance, winning every round and staying in control throughout,” Hull said.
“In his last couple of fights Tyler has also scored two stoppages and dropped some good contenders along the way.
“We all know he is built for more rounds. Four rounds don’t really suit his boxing style — he needs the longer fights to really get going.
“But it’s all part of the journey. Follow the journey… more to come.
