Rental Boston Whaler Runs Around
A visitor sustained cuts and bruises after her rental Boston Whaler ran aground in the vicinity of Castle Roads.
A Bermuda Maritime Operations Centre spokesperson said, “Bermuda Maritime Operations Centre received a marine VHF radio call on channel 16, from the power craft Groovy Chicks, reporting an incident in which a rental Boston Whaler had gone hard aground, while underway in the vicinity of Castle Roads, with a female occupant sustaining cuts and bruises.
“The P/C Groovy Chicks assisted and brought both occupants quickly ashore to Grotto Bay Hotel Dock, where an awaiting ambulance assisted the female, the rental boat was brought back ashore having sustained some damage, with the occupants, whom were on vacation in Bermuda, confirming they had not been paying full attention while underway and grounded the vessel while underway.”
