News that MoonGate Group distributed 200 We Care packages to vulnerable residents with community partners, Minister of Economy and Labour Jason Hayward attended the 2026 Bermuda Economic Development Corporation Business Awards, and St. George’s marked World Poetry Day with student poetry performances and live showcases were among the positive stories from the past week.

In additional good news, Oliver and Darina Betschart recorded second-place finishes at the Prestige Tour Hill Country Open, Elijah Daley has been named a finalist for the Male Rookie of the Year award at the University of Toronto, and Harlem Bean-Fox and Kennahz Fray impressed for the Future Pro Under-23 Academy in defeat.
