Anticipation is building for the Apex Group Bermuda Sail Grand Prix on May 9–10 at Morgan’s Point, as SailGP previews the high-speed racing and fan experience.
A spokesperson said, “With exactly 50 days to go until the Apex Group Bermuda Sail Grand Prix, excitement is building as SailGP prepares to return to Bermuda for another action-packed weekend of racing on May 9 & 10 at Morgan’s Point.
“As the countdown continues, SailGP is marking the moment with the release of a venue preview video, offering fans a preview of what to expect when the global championship returns to the island. The video brings to life the scale and energy of the event, from high-speed racing on the Great Sound to the fan experience along the waterfront.
“Bermuda will once again host the world’s most exciting racing on water, with international teams competing in identical high-tech F50 catamarans at speeds approaching 100 km/h. Racing takes place close to shore, giving fans a rare chance to experience the intensity of SailGP from just meters away.
“This year, spectators can enjoy an upgraded on-land viewing experience at Morgan’s Point, including Waterfront Viewing with elevated seating for the first time, big screens with live race commentary, and an electric race-day atmosphere featuring post-race entertainment and après-sail energy.
