Adriana Penruddocke Moves Into Second Overall
Bermuda’s Adriana Penruddocke moved into second place overall at the Trofeo Princesa Sofía following three races on the Bay of Palma.
Shifting offshore winds disrupted the schedule, with only one race completed on Monday, where Penruddocke finished 63rd in the ILCA 6 fleet. Racing resumed with three races, where she placed fourth, fifth and second to end the day with 11 net points. The results moved her into second place overall behind Ireland’s Evie McMahon.
Bermuda’s Sebastian Kempe dropped from 26th to 32nd overall in the ILCA 7 fleet after three races. He recorded finishes of 18th, 56th and fifth, leaving him with 52 net points.
Light and inconsistent winds delayed racing for both fleets, with extended periods of waiting for suitable conditions.
